Ayurveda and Vedic Astrology: Astrology as a Sister Science

With Gary & Cynthia Gran

In Person at The Meditation Center and Via Zoom

July 13, 2024 | 10:00 a.m.  - Noon

Please join us as we explore the relationship between Vedic Astrology, Ayurveda, and Yoga. Our main focus will be Vedic Astrology, also known as the Eye of the Vedas, or Jyotish, the Science of Light. The interrelated disciplines of yoga, astrology and Ayurveda are founded on the holistic principle that everything in the external universe has a counterpart in our internal universe - the macrocosm and the microcosm.

yad brahmande tat pinde, yat pinde tad brahmande:

“Whatever is in the universe is in the body;

whatever is in the body is in the universe.”

In this session, we will explore the practical aspects of:

· Jyotish as the science of time, space and causation.

· Our astrological birth chart as a snapshot of our karma.

· How the birth chart can provide insight into our Ayurvedic type and our health issues.

· The inner or yogic practice of astrology.

· The relationship of astrology and the chakras.

As we reflect on the profound connection between our inner world and the outer world, our goal will be to move towards greater balance and harmony with Life. May all be well. May all know peace.

“Why are the sun, moon, and stars constantly on the move?

If you know the purpose of their movement, then move in harmony with them.

If you do not know, move in harmony with them still, for by doing so, one day you will know the purpose.” – Swami Rama

All are welcome for this fun and informative session, as we share and ponder the teachings of the sages together.
