About the event
Yogic cleansings are for the physical internal body and are essential to healthy living. Cleansings or Shat Kriyas along with breathing and asanas are intended to prepare the body and mind for meditation. The benefits of meditation range from lowered blood pressure and cholesterol to decreased stress and illness. Beginning a meditation practice can be challenging when done alone and planning a practice can feel overwhelming. Join us as we discuss the process of meditation and planning a meditation practice. Â
Natalie's specialty is making the information accessible, understandable and easy to put into practice. Learn from Natalie Pendergrass a 20+ year teacher following the teachings of Swami Rama and the Himalayan Institute, Honesdale, PA. Dress comfortably and in layers as some of class will be a bit active as we prepare our bodies by warming our joints. We will be up and down from the floor a few times. Props and mats will be available or you are welcome to bring your own. Chairs will also be available if needed.
