About the event
Neuro Scientists have been studying the effect of meditation on brain for decades. With the revolution in brainwave sensing technology and data processing speeds, new discoveries and a better understanding of brainwaves and their relationship to meditative states has evolved. This has led to a new wave of biofeedback equipment utilizing brainwave sensing for cultivation of meditative states.
This workshop will review 1) A brief history of brain research with expert meditators, 2) Categories of meditation as defined by the neuroscience community, 3) A brief description of brainwave types and finally, 4) A survey of biofeedback devices for deepening meditation with an emphasis on neurofeedback devices.
