About the event

Yoga has long offered a profound framework for understanding the mind and cultivating lasting inner well-being. In this experiential workshop, we explore mental health through the timeless lens of the Yoga Sutras, translating ancient wisdom into practical tools for modern life.

Together, we will examine how the mind functions according to yogic psychology, including the concept of mental fluctuations (vrittis) and how awareness can soften reactivity and reduce overwhelm. Drawing from key teachings such as steady practice (abhyasa), letting go (vairagya), and the four balancing attitudes of friendliness, compassion, joy, and equanimity, participants will learn how to gently reshape their relationship to thoughts and emotions.

This workshop integrates discussion with embodied practice. Through slow, mindful movement, breath regulation and guided meditation, participants will experience how yoga can support nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and mental clarity. Rather than striving to “stop thinking,” we cultivate the skill of witnessing the mind…
